Sous Chef
Full time Sous Chef Position located in Poughkeepsie NY at Farmer's and Chefs. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in the management of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food preperations as well as leading and training kitchen staff. They will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all meals prepared in the kitchen meet the restaurants quality standards and are served in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working as a line cook or sous chef in a high volume restaurant kitchen.
- Degree or certificate in the Culinary Arts is preferred but not required.
- Excellent knowledge of ingredient preparation techniques, kitchen safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and experience training kitchen staff.
- Flexibility in schedule, able to work week days, weekends and holidays.
